It's nice to see freshman legislator Joe Donnelly from Indiana's 2nd congressional district has taken the time over the "congressional recess" to meet with local constituents. The Elkhart newspaper, the Truth has reported that Congressman Donnelly has embarked on a "listening tour" over the past couple weeks to answer constituent questions and explain his vote on the Iraq supplemental spending bill.

While we obviously have problems with his vote to set a specific date for troop withdrawl in Iraq and provide millions of dollars for non-war-related industries.....kudos for facing his constituents (in person) to explain his vote!
